The Brigantii Moot

For some strange reason - the site has suddenly developed a bit of a problem with the theme - its failing and causing the site to crash out - Until I can fix it or move to a different piece of software - we are stuck using the default theme I’m afraid

I simply marked the sunrise at a local stone circle. These people created a stone cairn on the beach at South Landing Flamborough, East Yorkshire and burned a fire on top of it all night … see the video on youtube here and the photo’s here

I greeted the dawn, well the lightening of the sky, at Castlerigg Stone Circle and it wasn’t that cold, certainly not as cold as it was last year. It was still dark when I arrived at Castlerigg but luckily not pitch black or I would have walked into the rope closing off part of the circle. Two parts were fenced off, it must be to give the ground a chance to heal as the ground around them, though frozen on Saturday, was clearly well churned up and a mass of sheep prints were up close to the stones.

I thought it was about time we went for a bit of a refresh for the main Moot theme - especially when I found this one called Dreamtime which I think is beautiful
